Savo Minić, the current Prime Minister of Republika Srpska and candidate of the ruling Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) with coalition backing, leads trader pricing at 58.5% ahead of the October 4, 2026 general election. Branko Blanuša of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) follows at 35.5%, while other listed contenders remain at negligible levels. The positioning reflects SNSD's institutional advantages and recent performance, including Siniša Karan's narrow 2025–26 victory over Blanuša after repeat voting in disputed polling stations. Key dynamics include the ruling bloc's unified endorsement of Minić, SDS organizational reach in urban centers, and persistent opposition concerns over procedural fairness in prior entity elections. Low turnout patterns and coalition discipline continue to shape assessments of separation potential before polling.
