Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other sources indicate a high near 95–96°F for Atlanta on September 18 under persistent upper-level ridging and mostly sunny conditions, with only a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance that is unlikely to cap the daily maximum. This setup continues a stretch of unseasonably warm mid-September weather running 10–15°F above the 1991–2020 average high of roughly 83°F, supported by light northeast to northwest winds and dew points in the mid-60s that allow strong daytime heating. Trader consensus has concentrated on the 94–95°F and 92–93°F bins, reflecting the tight clustering of official guidance around the mid-90s and the limited window for significant model shifts before the date.
