Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and private models positions a high of 96–99°F as the most likely outcome for Austin on September 10, driving the dominant 98–99°F market share. Light southerly flow under subtropical high pressure, combined with mostly sunny skies and minimal cloud cover, supports afternoon temperatures several degrees above the 92°F climatological average. Recent days of upper-90s readings have reinforced trader confidence in this range, while the low probability assigned to 100°F+ reflects limited model support for stronger heating or downslope effects. Updated guidance overnight could shift odds if dew points or wind patterns change.
