Current short-range forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and international models converge on a September 12 high near 32–33 °C for Guangzhou under partly cloudy to cloudy skies with northeasterly flow. This positions the market-implied probabilities for 33 °C and 34 °C as the tightest cluster, reflecting modest uncertainty in afternoon cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing that can suppress or permit an extra degree of warming. Historical climatology shows a 32.3 °C average high and a 35.8 °C record, so any reduction in cloudiness or delayed sea-breeze onset could push readings toward 35 °C while increased moisture or earlier convection would favor the lower 31–32 °C outcomes. Updated CMA guidance and morning soundings on September 11–12 will provide the key resolution signals ahead of market close.

To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
