Current forecast consensus from models such as GFS and ECMWF indicates a daily high near 34°C in Guangzhou on September 9, supported by a lingering warm air mass, light northeasterly flow, and partial cloud cover that limits full diurnal heating. Recent observations show highs of 34–35°C on September 7–8 amid mostly clear skies and low precipitation, while scattered showers expected midday on the 9th could suppress peaks by 1–2°C through evaporative cooling and reduced insolation. Historical September averages hover around 32.5°C, yet the current pattern aligns with above-normal conditions noted in official outlooks. Market-implied odds reflect model spread and timing uncertainties around convective development, with 33–35°C outcomes dominating trader positioning ahead of updated runs.
