Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models position the overnight low in New York City near 70°F on September 9, 2026, driven by persistent warm, humid air with southwest winds limiting radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. This aligns with the market's leading 70-71°F outcome at 53.5% implied probability, as recent days have featured highs in the mid-80s and minimal temperature drops overnight. Above-average conditions for early September reflect the absence of a strong cold front, with historical Central Park data showing typical lows closer to 64°F. Final resolution depends on the official minimum recorded at the Central Park station.
