Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance point to an overnight low in the low-to-mid 70s for New York City on September 10, driven by a warm, humid southerly flow ahead of a weak frontal boundary and limited nocturnal radiative cooling under mostly cloudy skies. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on 74-75 °F (44.5 %) and 72-73 °F (33 %), reflecting trader consensus that the minimum will fall within that narrow band rather than cooler historical September norms near 63 °F. Light showers or variable winds could nudge the exact reading slightly, but current runs show no strong cold-air advection to push values into the upper 60s before dawn. Updated model guidance and official NWS briefings through tonight remain the key near-term catalysts.
