**Current model consensus from sources like NOAA-derived GFS and European ensembles points to a daytime maximum of 36–37°C in Jeddah on September 21, explaining the tight market clustering around those outcomes.** Jeddah’s Red Sea coastal setting produces a pronounced diurnal cycle moderated by onshore sea breezes and high humidity (50–70% range), which typically caps afternoon peaks below inland desert values despite September’s climatological warmth. Recent runs show sunny conditions, light-to-moderate southwest winds, and surface pressures near 1008–1009 hPa, with model peaks consistently reaching 36–37°C around midday to early afternoon local time. Minor spread in guidance—some ensembles capping at 35–36°C while others briefly touch 37–38°C—keeps the 36°C and 37°C contracts closely matched, while lower-probability tails reflect the low likelihood of stronger warming or unexpected advection. Updated forecast releases and observational verification tomorrow morning will refine the exact peak before market resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=oejn
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
