Francesca Hong’s position as the statewide polling leader with double-digit margins in recent surveys, including Marquette and State Navigate results, underpins trader consensus favoring her to carry Milwaukee County in the August 11 Democratic primary. As the race enters its final days, her momentum from consistent support in urban areas outweighs David Crowley’s advantages as the sitting Milwaukee County executive and his late re-entry backed by Governor Tony Evers. Crowley trails even in county-specific polling breakdowns, such as a narrow Hong edge in the 414 area code, while fundraising surges and campaign events have not yet closed the gap. Other candidates like Joel Brennan and Kelda Roys register minimal local traction, leaving the contest between the two frontrunners with limited time for shifts before primary voters decide.
