Incumbent Michelle Romero advanced from the June 2026 nonpartisan primary with the most votes at 49.8 percent, setting up a November 3 runoff against Hollie Chadwick. As the sitting mayor since 2023, Romero benefits from incumbency advantages, established city council experience, and a campaign highlighting governance continuity and local priorities such as public safety and development. Trader consensus reflected in the current odds shows strong support for her re-election prospects in the head-to-head contest. Potential shifts could arise from late-campaign turnout dynamics among Henderson voters, specific policy contrasts on issues like infrastructure or budgeting, or unforeseen events that alter the race's momentum before election day.
