Recent official forecasts from METMalaysia and multiple models project a minimum temperature of 24–25°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 4, consistent with September climatology (average lows near 24°C, with rare historical dips to 20–21°C). Equatorial location and southwest monsoon conditions—marked by persistent cloud cover, high humidity, and frequent showers—limit radiative cooling overnight, keeping minima stable around 23–25°C. No cold-surge or anomalous atmospheric patterns are indicated in current guidance, rendering 19°C or below highly improbable despite its 49% market-implied probability. Trader positioning may reflect short-term forecast variance or liquidity factors rather than scientific consensus, while probabilities clustered near 24–28°C align more closely with expected ranges and upcoming model updates.
