Persistent easterly flow and elevated moisture levels across South Florida are sustaining overnight lows in the upper 70s to low 80s for Miami on August 31, according to National Weather Service and NOAA guidance. Afternoon sea-breeze thunderstorms and high precipitable water values near or above normal limit radiative cooling, preventing temperatures from dropping toward seasonal averages around 77–78 °F. Recent model runs show no significant frontal passage or drier air mass to alter this pattern through the weekend, keeping the distribution of implied probabilities centered on 80–81 °F while leaving modest room for 78–79 °F or 82–83 °F outcomes depending on exact cloud cover and wind speeds overnight. Updated NWS forecasts and next model cycles will provide the clearest near-term signals for any adjustments.
