Trader consensus around the 72–75°F range for Seattle’s August 31 high reflects the latest National Weather Service and model guidance showing mostly sunny skies under a building upper-level ridge, with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s. A shallow marine layer and light northerly flow will limit afternoon warming, keeping maximum temperatures near or slightly below the 74.5°F late-August climatological average. The incoming trough and associated warm front are expected to arrive after the daily peak, adding modest forecast spread across ensembles but little risk of significant cooling or marine push before resolution. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion will be the key near-term catalysts.
