Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model runs indicate a mostly cloudy Monday with southwest winds of 10-20 mph sustaining marine layer influence, supporting a high near 62°F for San Francisco on August 31. This cooler regime follows several warmer days earlier in late August and sits below the 1991-2020 average high of 69.6°F. Market-implied odds favoring 66-67°F reflect trader assessment of remaining uncertainty in cloud cover timing and any late-day clearing that could allow brief warming, while lower-probability bins above 70°F account for potential forecast shifts. Updated model guidance and official observations through the weekend will provide key resolution signals ahead of the date.
