Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance shows Houston under persistent high pressure with mostly sunny skies and light easterly flow on September 20, supporting afternoon highs near 94–95 °F. This setup maximizes solar insolation while limiting cloud cover and convective cooling, though subtle differences in boundary-layer moisture and exact wind speeds can shift the peak by 1–2 °F. With the climatological average high near 88.5 °F and recent days already reaching the mid-90s, traders assign the highest probabilities to the 92–95 °F bins. The next 48-hour model runs and any late adjustments to dew points or cloud fields remain the key variables that could tilt resolution between the leading outcomes.
