Nasarawa State’s 2027 governorship race remains fluid more than a year before the vote, with trader prices reflecting a fragmented field across major parties. The ruling APC has settled on Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada after he secured a decisive primary victory and received incumbent Governor Abdullahi Sule’s public endorsement, while PDP stakeholders have unified behind former candidate Emmanuel David Ombugadu via consensus. Other parties have also concluded primaries, confirming Labour Party’s Jonathan Gaza Gbefwi, ADC’s retired Gen. Nuhu Angbazo, and ongoing maneuvering involving former IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu within the SDP. Zoning expectations favoring the West senatorial district, combined with over 30 early aspirants and limited statewide polling, sustain uncertainty. Further party consolidation, campaign momentum, or shifts in local alliances could widen gaps among frontrunners ahead of INEC’s formal timetable.

This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Nasarawa State gubernatorial election. Any interim, acting, or caretaker Governor will not qualify.
