Paul Giamatti leads trader sentiment for the 2027 Best Supporting Actor race at 47.5% implied probability, driven by his role in A24’s “The Debut” and the industry’s long-standing narrative around his overdue status after prior nominations. Sam Rockwell and Steve Buscemi in Searchlight’s “Wild Horse Nine,” John Leguizamo in Universal’s “The Odyssey,” and Guy Pearce in Netflix’s “Ink” cluster behind at lower odds, reflecting ensemble-heavy studio campaigns and early casting buzz. With no major 2026 titles screened yet, the field remains fluid; Toronto International Film Festival premieres and guild precursors will likely clarify momentum as reviews and voter narratives emerge ahead of January nominations.
