Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to overnight lows in the mid-50s°F for Denver on September 15, driven by northerly winds, increasing cloud cover, and a weak frontal passage that limits radiational cooling. This setup explains the market's elevated implied probability on the 45°F-or-below bin alongside notable support for 54-55°F and adjacent ranges, as traders weigh the potential for localized cold spots against the broader 50-58°F envelope typical for mid-September climatology. Model spread remains modest, with limited upside risk above 60°F given the current steering pattern, while historical analogs from similar early-fall transitions show occasional sub-50°F readings when clear skies align with stronger high pressure. Updated guidance expected from the Denver-Boulder NWS office this morning could further refine the minimum before the daily low locks in.
