Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models show NYC overnight lows on September 2 holding near 69–72°F amid persistent humidity, light easterly flow, and cloud cover limiting radiational cooling ahead of scattered showers and thunderstorms. This pattern, driven by a ridge to the southwest and moisture from the Great Lakes track, positions the 68–71°F range as the leading outcomes with the highest market-implied probabilities. Updated model runs through the Labor Day period continue to favor these elevated minima over cooler climatological norms, though any strengthening onshore breeze or clearing could shift probabilities toward the lower bins before resolution.
