Fabio Roscioli leads trader pricing in the Reggio di Calabria by-election market as the unified centre-right nominee backed by Forza Italia, Fratelli d'Italia, Lega, and allied lists for the September 27-28 vote. The seat opened after Francesco Cannizzaro resigned following his May 2026 mayoral victory in a constituency where centre-right forces have shown consistent strength in recent national and local contests. Roscioli's national party role and Berlusconi family ties have consolidated support despite his Roman background, with recent local campaigning focused on building regional connections. Frank Benedetto, the centre-left candidate backed by the PD-led coalition, trails as the main opposition option. Domenico Giannetta's National Future candidacy, supported by Roberto Vannacci, and Francesco Toscano's lower-profile run account for the remaining positioning by potentially fragmenting smaller vote shares.
