Recent August 2026 CPI data at 1.7% month-over-month—the lowest in 14 months—anchors trader sentiment for September Argentina inflation, reflecting sustained disinflation under tight fiscal and monetary policies amid a stable peso. Year-over-year inflation eased to 33.5% with a 21.3% year-to-date rise, though core measures held near 1.8% and regulated prices contributed upward pressure. The near-even split between the 1.6–1.8% and 1.9–2.1% bins captures uncertainty over seasonal factors, food and housing contributions, and economic drag from weak growth and rising unemployment that could sustain inertia. Analysts' year-end forecasts hover near 30%, with the September release expected mid-October serving as the next key catalyst.
