The crowded field and regional dynamics in Amazonas are keeping the first-round outcome highly uncertain, as reflected in the broad distribution of market prices around 50% for numerous candidates. National frontrunners like Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro face competition from figures such as Renan Santos, Ronaldo Caiado, and Romeu Zema, whose support may vary based on state-specific priorities including Amazon environmental management, resource development, and local alliances ahead of the October 4 vote. Recent national polls show the top contenders closely matched or in flux due to coalition negotiations and lingering effects from earlier 2026 developments, with no dominant regional favorite emerging to consolidate support. Late campaign shifts, endorsements, or turnout patterns in northern states could still separate contenders in this fragmented contest.
