Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Los Angeles on September 15 indicate overnight lows near 66–68°F under a strengthening marine layer, with patchy coastal fog and light onshore flow limiting radiational cooling. This setup supports the near-even market split between the 68–69°F bin and outcomes at 61°F or below, as small differences in fog persistence, dew point recovery, or clearing timing can shift the daily minimum by several degrees. Historical September averages near 64°F provide context, but current high pressure and sea surface temperatures favor milder readings unless stronger offshore flow develops overnight. Updated model runs and morning observations will clarify resolution ahead of the close.
