Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private providers indicate Austin will reach a daily high in the upper 90s to low 100s on September 16 under partly cloudy skies with light southeast winds. This positions the 98-99°F range as the consensus outcome, consistent with recent days near or above 100°F and the date’s historical maximum of 99°F. The 100-101°F bin retains secondary support due to afternoon heat-index values potentially exceeding 105°F amid elevated humidity, while lower ranges reflect limited cooling from increased cloud cover or isolated showers. Updated model runs and official observations through midday will refine these probabilities before market resolution.
