Recent forecast models from Brazilian meteorological agencies show Sao Paulo's maximum temperature on September 17 likely peaking between 17–19°C, creating tight market-implied odds as traders weigh subtle differences in diurnal heating. Primary drivers include a weak cold front passage moderating afternoon warmth, combined with typical springtime variability in the Serra do Mar region and urban heat island effects at the official monitoring station. Historical September averages near 22°C contrast with current cooler-than-normal conditions tied to stronger-than-usual southerly flow. Key resolution factors are the precise daily maximum recorded by INMET, with any late-day warming or measurement timing potentially shifting outcomes among the closely clustered probabilities.
