Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts indicate clear skies and northerly to easterly flow under high pressure will limit daytime heating in New York City on September 15, producing a maximum temperature centered in the low 70s°F. Afternoon readings are projected near 70–73°F after overnight lows in the upper 50s, consistent with mid-September climatology when cool air advection follows frontal passages. This stable, dry pattern has anchored trader sentiment toward the 72–73°F bin, while lower and higher ranges reflect residual uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing and exact wind shifts. Updated model runs and official briefings through the evening of September 14 remain the key near-term catalysts for any probability shifts.
