Recent National Weather Service forecasts for New York City indicate a minimum temperature of 64°F on September 6 under partly cloudy skies and light northerly winds, aligning with climatological norms near 64.5°F for the date. This consensus from official model guidance and surface observations has driven the strong market weighting toward the 64–67°F range, as persistent high pressure limits nocturnal cooling while residual warmth from recent daytime highs in the mid-70s to low-80s moderates the overnight drop. Ensemble runs show limited spread, with only modest potential for slightly cooler readings if cloud cover decreases more than expected. Updated NWS briefings and real-time observations through early September 6 will provide the final inputs for resolution.
