Paraná’s 2026 Senate contest for second place remains tightly contested because the withdrawal of early polling leader Álvaro Dias (MDB) on August 3 opened the field among several viable contenders, including Gleisi Hoffmann (PT), Alexandre Curi (Republicanos), Cristina Graeml (PSD), Filipe Barros (PL), and Deltan Dallagnol (Novo). Recent Genial/Quaest and AtlasIntel surveys show these names clustered in the low-to-mid teens once first-place preferences are consolidated, reflecting a fragmented electorate, split right-of-center vote, and dual-seat mechanics that reward distinct first- and second-choice ballots. Trader consensus around 20–29% probabilities for the top-listed candidates captures this uncertainty, with separation likely hinging on party conventions, fresh statewide polling, endorsements from the governor, or late shifts in turnout among key voting blocs before the October general election.
