Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate a high near 87°F for Chicago on August 30, with south-southwest winds of 10–15 mph and gusts to 25 mph supporting vertical mixing while partly to mostly cloudy skies limit peak solar insolation. This places the most probable outcome in the 84–87°F range, where market-implied odds are tightly clustered. Morning cloud trends and any midday convective development could shave a degree or two off the maximum, while clearer breaks or stronger warm advection would favor the upper end. The forecast reflects a modest warm anomaly relative to the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 81°F, with resolution hinging on updated model runs and National Weather Service observations through the day.
