Official forecasts from Environment Canada and Climate Change Canada currently project a daytime high of 24°C for Toronto on September 17, with a 40% chance of showers under mostly cloudy skies and light northerly winds. This aligns with the market’s leading 24°C outcome at 40.5% implied probability, while nearby 23°C and 25°C options reflect minor model variations and uncertainty around cloud cover or brief clearing that could nudge the maximum by a degree. Recent observations show temperatures near or slightly above seasonal norms, with September 16 expected to reach 26°C before cooler air arrives. Traders appear to weight official agency guidance heavily, as resolution depends on verified maximum readings rather than models alone. Updated Environment Canada briefings and any overnight model runs could refine these probabilities before markets close.
