Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Announcements of a partial evacuation, where some staff are intended to remain, will not count. The resolution source will be official statements from the U.S. government or a consensus of credible reporting confirming the evacuation of the embassy. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the U.S. government announces a full evacuation of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, or a full evacuation of the embassy is otherwise confirmed between market creation and June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. A full evacuation announced within this market's timeframe will qualify for a "Yes" resolution regardless of whether an actual evacuation subsequently takes place within the timeframe. Announcements of a partial evacuation, where some staff are intended to remain, will not count. The resolution source will be official statements from the U.S. government or a consensus of credible reporting confirming the evacuation of the embassy. Ongoing regional tensions in the Middle East, including cross-border strikes and security risks tied to Hezbollah activity in Lebanon, have prompted repeated U.S. State Department alerts since February 2026 ordering non-emergency personnel and family members to depart while suspending routine consular services at the Beirut embassy. Embassy statements through August emphasize that commercial flights remain available for private departures but explicitly state the U.S. government has limited ability to assist with evacuations and urge Americans to prepare independent contingency plans. No full embassy evacuation has been announced, with essential operations continuing under heightened restrictions. Trader assessments reflect the balance between sustained volatility that could trigger broader withdrawal and the absence of immediate escalatory triggers within the resolution window. Key upcoming developments include any new diplomatic or military actions that might alter the security environment before late August.
