Recent forecasts from Environment Canada and supporting models indicate a peak of 28°C for Toronto on September 2 amid southerly flow and high humidity, with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Scattered convection and cloud cover are expected to moderate daytime heating, keeping maxima near or slightly below ensemble guidance that ranges 26–30°C. This aligns with trader-implied probabilities clustering on 27–29°C, reflecting uncertainty in convective timing and intensity rather than broad warming trends. Historical September 2 highs average 24°C, so current warm advection stands out, though precipitation offers downside risk for the upper outcomes. Updated model runs and official briefings tomorrow will clarify any shifts ahead of resolution.
