Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Austin project overnight lows in the mid-70s on September 17 under mostly cloudy skies and persistent southerly flow, with model consensus from GFS and similar runs showing limited cooling overnight amid high humidity and dew points near 75°F. This aligns with the warm late-summer air mass dominating central Texas, where recent observations have kept minimum temperatures well above the historical mid-September average of 67–70°F. Market-implied odds favoring 69°F or below reflect trader caution around potential forecast revisions or localized urban heat island effects, while bins near 74–77°F capture the current guidance range; upcoming evening model updates from NOAA will likely refine these probabilities ahead of resolution.
