Trader sentiment on near-term price thresholds reflects these macro factors plus expected seasonal relief from the September transition to lower-cost winter-blend gasoline and an EPA emergency waiver effective September 1 that expands supply by easing Reid Vapor Pressure rules. Key swing variables include any de-escalation in Middle East shipping lanes, weekly EIA inventory data, and demand trends as driving season winds down; elevated storage levels and robust domestic output provide a buffer against sharp upside moves.
