The recent withdrawal of Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist from contention has further consolidated support by removing a potential rival from the field. Other declared candidates, including Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, trail significantly with limited visibility and resources. Trader consensus assigns her a high probability of securing the nomination, though late developments such as unexpected personal events or shifts in voter turnout could still alter the outcome before primary day.
