Željka Cvijanović maintains a dominant position in the race for the Serb seat on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency ahead of the October 4, 2026 general election, driven by her incumbency since 2022 and nomination by the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the leading party in Republika Srpska. The party’s organizational strength and voter base have held firm following Milorad Dodik’s 2025 departure from office and Siniša Karan’s narrow 2025–26 RS presidential win, with coalition partners confirming unified support in June 2026. Opposition figures including Marinko Božović of the Serb Democratic Party, Nebojša Vukanović, Draško Stanivuković, and others trail due to fragmented challenges and SNSD’s track record in entity-level contests, though the short campaign period leaves room for shifts in turnout or late developments.
