Željka Cvijanović maintains a commanding lead in the October 4, 2026 general election for the Serb seat on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency, with traders assigning her an implied 75.5 percent probability. This positioning stems from her incumbency and the structural strength of the ruling SNSD party in Republika Srpska, reinforced by ally Siniša Karan’s narrow victory as entity president in the February 2026 vote that followed the disputed November 2025 snap poll. Recent diplomatic activity, including Cvijanović’s White House meetings and other U.S. engagements, has further highlighted her institutional role. Opposition figures such as Nebojša Vukanović, who announced his candidacy in early May, Draško Stanivuković, Branko Blanuša, and Karan himself trail due to party fragmentation and limited unified polling, with no significant shifts recorded in the past thirty days beyond continued secessionist statements from RS leadership.
