Vermont's at-large House seat features a dominant Democratic advantage driven by the state's long-term partisan lean, with the district rated Solid or Safe Democratic by multiple forecasters. Incumbent Becca Balint secured her party's nomination with 98% in the August 11 primary and holds double-digit leads in recent polling against Republican nominee Gerald Malloy. The seat has remained in Democratic hands since 1990, supported by consistent voter patterns and a district PVI exceeding D+15. Trader consensus at 94.5% Democratic reflects these structural factors ahead of the November 3 general election. A significant shift could occur only through an unforeseen event such as a major scandal, health issue for the incumbent, or an unusually strong national Republican tide that overcomes local fundamentals.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
