John Braun secured first place in Washington’s August 4, 2026 top-two primary for the 3rd Congressional District after consolidating Republican support as state Senate minority leader and earning key endorsements, including from former President Trump. Early and updated vote tallies placed him narrowly ahead of or tied with incumbent Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, with both advancing while other candidates, including progressive Democrat Brent Hennrich, trailed well behind. The market’s strong consensus on Braun reflects these confirmed primary results and the structure of Washington’s nonpartisan primary system. Remaining ballots or late procedural adjustments could theoretically alter final placement, though current margins make such shifts improbable.
