Recent forecast model consensus from sources including the Met Office and ensemble runs points to a daytime maximum near 15°C in Wellington on September 18, driven by moderate northerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and limited cloud cover that allows modest daytime warming without strong solar heating. This aligns with the market's heaviest weighting on 15°C, while the secondary probability on 14°C reflects lingering uncertainty from possible increased cloud or a brief southerly change that could suppress temperatures by 1–2°C. Historical September averages hover around 14–15°C, and current model agreement remains tight with low spread, though any late adjustment in steering patterns or precipitation timing could shift the exact peak before resolution.

To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
