National Weather Service observations and model guidance for Atlanta on September 17, 2026, showed clear skies and light winds under a stable high-pressure ridge, supporting an overnight low of 70–71°F at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. This outcome aligned with climatological baselines for mid-September and multiple forecast runs projecting minimal radiative cooling amid moderate humidity. The 97.5% market-implied probability on 70–71°F reflects trader confidence in the consensus forecast and lack of disruptive weather systems. Lower readings below 68°F would have required stronger cold-air advection or unexpected clear-sky enhancement not indicated in official products, while higher values remained unlikely given the established airmass.
