**Official National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco International Airport project a high near 72°F under sunny conditions with moderate westerly winds, positioning the 70-71°F bin as the market leader at 41% implied probability.** This aligns with the long-term September average high of approximately 71°F and recent model consensus showing limited marine layer influence or fog suppression on the day. Coastal moderation from the Pacific, typical for mid-September, reduces the likelihood of extremes, while observed early-morning readings near 59°F support gradual daytime warming without exceeding the upper 60s to low 70s in most guidance. Traders appear to weigh the NWS outlook most heavily against historical variability, where highs in the 68-73°F range have dominated recent Septembers. Resolution will depend on official station measurements once the full diurnal cycle completes.
