Sweden Democrats maintain a strong position to finish second in the September 13, 2026, Riksdag election, backed by consistent polling leads of 19–20% over the Moderate Party’s 17% in mid-2026 surveys from Novus, Demoskop, and Indikator. Social Democrats lead overall near 32%, leaving the right-leaning bloc fragmented, with SD benefiting from steady nationalist voter consolidation and limited recent movement between the two parties. The Tidö government’s cooperation agreement and April 2026 statements on potential cabinet roles for SD have reinforced its influence without shifting relative support versus the Moderates. Election security measures and foreign influence concerns have not materially altered these trends in the final month.
