Recent forecasts for Panama City, Panama, place the September 3 maximum near 31–32 °C under partly cloudy skies and frequent afternoon thunderstorms, aligning with the market’s leading 32 °C (38.5 %) and 31 °C (28.0 %) outcomes. Seasonal climatology shows September daytime highs averaging 29–30 °C, but an ongoing El Niño event has produced above-average sea-surface temperatures that support modestly elevated land temperatures. Model consensus indicates limited daytime heating due to persistent cloud cover and convective activity, keeping probabilities for 33 °C or higher at 23.5 % while rendering sub-30 °C readings unlikely. Updated guidance expected later today will refine the precise peak value before market resolution.
