Current National Weather Service and model guidance for Austin-Bergstrom projects a minimum temperature in the mid-70s on September 1, with overnight lows near 76–77 °F under mostly clear skies and light southerly flow. This above-average reading stems from a persistent warm, high-pressure regime following one of the hottest Augusts on record, with no strong frontal passages expected in the next 48 hours to deliver meaningful cooling. Historical September 1 lows average around 71 °F, yet the current pattern and heat-index values near 105 °F keep probabilities concentrated on the 74–77 °F buckets while limiting downside risk to the low-70s or below. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion remain the key near-term catalysts.
