**Recent National Weather Service guidance for Chicago on September 13 points to a high near 72°F under mostly sunny skies with a 30% chance of afternoon showers and northerly winds near 10 mph, establishing the tight clustering of market-implied odds around the 72–75°F bins.** Cooler air advection behind a frontal passage, reduced insolation from increasing cloud cover, and suppressed lake-breeze warming differentiate these narrow temperature ranges from slightly warmer outcomes. Model consensus remains firm on limited daytime heating compared with the prior day’s mid-80s readings and the September climatological average of roughly 77°F, though minor shifts in timing or coverage of showers could nudge the official high across bin boundaries. Traders will monitor the final NWS forecast updates and any late model adjustments overnight for resolution clarity.
