Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance indicate Atlanta's minimum temperature on September 20 will most likely settle in the low 70s, with overnight lows projected near 72–74°F under a warm, moist air mass and limited radiational cooling amid scattered thunderstorms and light easterly flow. This aligns with the market's heaviest weighting on the 74–75°F bin, reflecting trader consensus on the current warm pattern that has kept recent lows well above the 1991–2020 September 20 climatological average of 64°F. Key variables include the timing and coverage of any evening convection, which could modestly enhance cooling, and the persistence of above-normal dew points near 70°F that suppress overnight temperature drops. Updated NWS forecast discussions and morning model runs on September 20 will provide the final data influencing resolution.
