Paul St-Pierre Plamondon of the Parti Québécois holds the highest implied probability in trader consensus for Quebec’s next premier due to the party’s sustained lead in recent voting intention surveys ahead of the October 5, 2026, general election. Recent polls from Léger and Pallas Data place the PQ at roughly 30 percent support, ahead of the Liberals under new leader Charles Milliard and the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec under Premier Christine Fréchette, who succeeded François Legault in April 2026. Plamondon’s outreach to anglophone voters via an open letter in mid-August has aimed to expand the party’s base beyond its traditional francophone strength. Milliard and Fréchette trail in market pricing as their parties trail in aggregate polling, while minor-party leaders remain at negligible levels amid the three-way contest.
