Forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate a minimum temperature in New York City on September 20, 2026, most likely between 62°F and 66°F, driven by persistent cloud cover, widespread rain, and southeast winds that limit overnight radiative cooling. These conditions align with the market's leading outcomes in the 62–67°F bins, which together exceed 75% implied probability. Historical September averages near 60°F provide context, but the current setup—marked by high humidity and frontal activity—has kept temperatures elevated relative to clear-sky scenarios. Updated model runs and official briefings through the day will refine the exact low as observations accumulate.
