Traders see 20°C or 21°C as the most likely daily maximum in Cape Town today, with those outcomes holding roughly equal implied probabilities near 31% and 30%. Official forecasts from multiple models, including GFS guidance, point to an afternoon peak of 19–21°C under overcast skies and moderate southeast winds of 15–30 km/h that limit surface heating. Light drizzle or showers in the morning further suppress temperatures, while September climatology shows an average high near 18°C. The narrow spread between leading outcomes reflects uncertainty in exact peak timing and any brief clearing that could allow a brief spike toward 22°C before resolution against the official South African Weather Service observation.
